Another Hollywood Blackwashing

Why did the creators have to turn Steptoe and Son, a show about white people, into a black show? Why not stay true to the original and give the audience what they want? It isn't right to blackwash beloved properties, and if you really want a show about black people, why not create something original? It just never ends with the woke blackwashers, does it? What's next, a black mermaid?

Can you imagine the audacity of someone trying to make the skin tone of a fictional character of a fictional species any color other than white? How dare they?
