Did Lamont Ever Carry On the Family Name?

Most of us remember the episode(s) where Lamont almost married but as we know it was not meant to be. But even so I hate the way the character which was a great one was unceremoniously edited out of the show.

Which brings to mind my question to you all. Do you think Lamont ever went on to have children of his own? It’s heartbreaking for me to think he never carried on the Sanford name, considering how Fred was so proud of it & his fictional ancestors. Pop would’ve been disappointed.

Was Lamont’s age ever addressed in the series? He had to be late 30’s/early 40’s so time was a wasting. With that in mind I wonder if he ever did settle down & have kids. Of course the show was over before this could happen so it’s impossible to gleam anything from it, unless it gave those answers & I was unaware. The only other thing we’re capable of doing to arrive at a answer is to share what your personal feelings are towards this. Would love to hear your thoughts.
