I think Fred would have loved using Ebay and Amazon to sell junk.

If they were to reboot the show for today, they'd pretty much HAVE to use online selling as a significant part of their business.

That being said, nevermind that Fred would be long dead by now, I have to say that I imagine that Fred ultimately retired from the business, sold Sanford and Son for a healthy profit and became financially wealthy enough to move to a more suburban-y area where he caused playful mischief for the neighbors.
