Lamont's age

Was he really supposed to have been in his mid 30s. I see that the summary claims such but wondering if they were just going by the actors age.

Because I got assumption with certain eps that he was perhaps in mid to late 20s. Some of the episodes I'm recalling had to do with the females who were interested in him. We had his cousins roommate Delores (Berlinda Tolbert) who If I recall correctly was a college student and then there was Fred's friends trying to set up an arranged marriage w/ their daughter (whom also seemed young in age).

Don't misunderstand my question ... has nothing to do w/ him residing w/ his father because I had to move back in w/ my parents at latter age.

They said out loud on the show that he was in this thirties.

Demond was actually born in 1946 though his Lamont character was several years older.

Even Redd Foxx was more than 10 years younger than his character as well.

Am I to assume that was mentioned in 1st episode? Asking you since other poster may have knew I posted this when I posted a comment in his thread.

Have 2 perhaps elaborate that in his thread someone mentioned that there were other inconsistency to story lines (i.e. age, locations).

If you don't like my response than don't say anything.

And if you don't know specific episode it was mentioned then just don't respond

Guessing u assumed this was a thread u started

I know they definitely said his age in the episode where Lamont moved in with Rollo and they had the double date at their place. The dates didn't like the food or drink they had and Fred showed up with onion stew and Ripple.

Yesterday I saw the episode where Grady's freeloading cousin stays with them and Lamont mentions his age as 32.

You are totally assholutly wrong, my friend.

It's interesting.....in the "A Matter of Life and Breath" episode, Lamont mentions to the receptionist in the Breathmobile that he is 30. Fred reluctantly tells her he's 65. In the "The Party Crasher" episode, Lamont tells Rollo he's 31. In the "Matchmaker, Matchmaker" episode, Grady reminds Fred that Lamont is 32. But....by the end of the series run, Lamont mentions he is 37 and Fred says he is 68. So...Lamont aged seven years in six seasons and Fred only aged three. One of those interesting continuity errors I suppose.

Not sure when SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) started but perhaps even shows like this could be bottled up into that situation. Thanks so much for the mentions of episodes, although I'm not a huge recaller of em all but once I do see them, will see what u mean.

There's definitely NO continuity in many of these S&S episodes. In one season I believed they said Lamont was 31 years old and a season later, he's 36 years old...

Lamont specifically mentions in one episode to his astrologer that he was born in late September 1940
