This show was creative

People who say it was cliche are sadly mistaken.
How can anyone say the "Elizabeth I'm comin' to join ya?" isn't creative? The cliche thing would have been to argue.
No normal person would do that when faced with an unpleasant situation.

Creative? This show was ripped off from Steptoe and Son, a fact that that the writers and creators openly acknowledge.

Peace be your pie.

Your stupid so your statement don't count. NEXT...

I wasn't ripped off Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin bought the rights to it, hence the reason many early episodes are credited as based on... And also Simpson and Galston are credited.

Gum_Bercules' point still stands. It's not a creative show because it took existing scripts and (slightly) adapted the dialogue. A lot of episodes are just carbon copies of the original Galton and Simpson episodes. That is not creativity. It's poorly acted and poorly Directed.

Total garbage.

They used the concepts of the show to for episode ideas. The writing still remains creative or we wouldn't still find it so funny still after 40 plus years. The stories and writing for the Jewish steptoe and son were very very different from Sanford and Son, a show way ahead of its time. And extremely creative!
