Pompous guy in "The Piano Movers"

Was he supposed to be gay? Because you see that they vaguely imply it many times throughout the episode from the great disdain towards his estranged wife, refined tastes, and overtly touching Fred's shoulder.....

Who the hell cares!

It was purposely left ambiguous, remember the story was based off a British teleplay of Steptoe and Son.

reply

Presumably.

I'm just disgusted by the way this episode has been censored and hacked now. When it airs today, just about *all* of Fred's jokes are eliminated.

reply

TVOne, a black network doesn't delete the scenes. I bought the entire series on DVD anyway.

To Adrian,

There is a cable channel that shows Sanford and Son without editing like in the 1970's. Saw Legal Eagle and the Big Money Grip episodes where the "n word" intact. So not every channel who shows S and S are butchering the episodes, which is bullsh.t. People in the 1970's were not insulted or put out by that, and it was black actors using the word.
