ive seen the pilot movie and the first episode, why does everybody call caine a "chinaman?" he doesnt even look asian...

The character of Caine was of mixed lineage. His father was white and his mother was Chinese.

AND they put putty on David's eyes to make them almond-shaped (at least at first)...Plus he talked funny...

He's a half-breed and that was considered worse than anything.
