How in Kung Fu, Carradine as Caine spent most of the time trying not to get hung.
Seems ironic.

I have to be honest- As tragic as any untimely death is... when someone dies not only while they're whipping off, but *because* they were whipping off... it's at least slightly funny. =P

That said- RIP David Carradine, and my heart goes out to his family.

I watched the pilot recently. As he was having a rope tied around his neck in the tent, Caine gave a smug little smirk. It was kind of eerie.
