George Takei in 'King of the Mountain?'

I see it listed here that George Takei was in the first season episode, "King of the Mountain." Was he? If so at what point? During the 'western' segments I do not recall seeing any asian people at all, not even a glimpse or in the background. During the temple scenes I also did not see anyone who would have resembled George Takei. He is also not in the credits. However, many sites state he was in a Kung Fu epsiode and this site says it was the first one. (Not the pilot.)

Nobody knows? Hmm... the addition of his name to this episode must be purely a mistake. He wasn't in that episode.

Maybe he was in it but got consigned to the editing room floor? Sam Fujiyama WAS in an episode, but I don't remember which number. He played a crippled Blacksmith (who in reality was an un-crippled Ninja) and he threw a lot of stars at Caine. Anyone remember which episode that was?

George Takei never appeared on KUNG FU,not even in the pilot. However,Robert Ito,who later played Sam Fujiyama in the medical series QUINCY,not only appeared in the original pilot,he also returned for two episodes- 17 "The Assassin," as a Ninja killer disguised as a blacksmith, and 30 "The Way of Violence Has No Mind," as the Robin Hood-type leader of a small band of marauders striking back at a tyrannical railroad tycoon(Fritz Weaver). He played a man of action in both entries, but not the pilot, where his character was gunned down before he could make his move.

But it's listed on his IMDB page...

Dont know which episodes you watched but there were many episodes where chinese (asians)were both principal and minor characters in the story of Caine's travels in the American west...not just in the flashback scenes at the monastery.
