My favorites include -
The Soul is the Warrior
The Elixir
and The Hoots
but that's just off the top of my head. All of them are spectacular.

'King of the Mountain' is both my favorite, and the best episode of the series in my opinion.

'An Eye for an Eye' is a close 2nd.

'The Passion of Chen Yi' and 'The Nature of Evil' are my favorite episodes of the 2nd series.

'Blood of the Dragon' (Parts 1 and 2), 'The Devils Champion' and 'Full Circle' are my favorite episodes of the 3rd, and final series.

Just re-watched the entire series.Without hesitation I would say that The Squawman, with Jack Elam is the best episode. It has excellent lessons on friendship, appreciation, and attitude towards life.

I like the multi-parters with extended flashback stories: "The Cenotaph" and (I think it's called) "Beseiged".

But for some reason my favorite has always been "The Ancient Warrior". I love the last exchange between Caine and the judge, and I liked any episode that wasn't resolved with a fight scene, i.e., there's always a better solution than violence. And you could never go wrong with Chief Dan George!

not sure what the episodes name is(may have already been mentioned here) but Caine and a guy are placed in a heat box underground for several days for punishment. that was a good episode.
