Was he doing a Irish or Scottish accent? I thought it was Scottish, but somebody on the Star Trek board said it was Irish. I'll admit I haven't watch the episode in years, but I kept on thinking he needed to take accent lessons from James Doohan.

Shatner's wife in this episode was on Star Trek as Elaan of Troyius. The actress is France Nuyen.
