It's a shame this show isn't in re-runs

I'm glad to see this show is finally being released on DVD, but it's a real shame that it isn't in re-runs (at least that I know of). "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids" was one of my favorite shows while I was growing up, a white kid in the Northern Virginia suburbs. All of my friends watched it as well. It was very funny and always had a positive message. We could use more such shows today, and I plan on getting this show for my own kids to watch.

I hope the new film does the old series justice. At least Cosby is involved with it.

Unfortunately, it doesn't. Thanks to Bill Cosby.

This show really was special, mixing genuine laughs with an important message. The music was always fun too. I just watched the first disc of the new 4 DVD set which compiles 20 of the most popular episodes. I highly recommend the set to anyone who ever liked it, it's a real collectible. What a positive show. Whatever happened to Saturday morning???

Saturday morning is still there, just great shows like fat albert have been replaced with the true meaning of *beep* stuff like Cubix *shudders*

Chapter 1 sets the rules.
Chapter 2 bends the rules.
But in the finale...
Forget the rules.

Hey Phoenix,
I 'm also near DC. Do u notice how ncb-abc-cbs are so lazy. Look on sat mornings and you see old cartoons/show so they meet the gov't requirement for educational/informational programming : Babar is on, beakman's world...

All the $ they make but they dont want to create new shows.

So if they gonna bring back old shows, bring back Fat Albert, bring back Carmen Sandiego, bring back Square one 1

There's a digital cable channel called The Word on Comcast that shows re-runs early Saturday mornings at 2AM. I DVR them.

1st of all, it's called The Word Network. 2nd of all, (and last of all,) it's on at 5AM Saturday Mornings. Maybe it's 2AM in your time zone but, in Atlanta, it's 5AM.

They air them for free on RTV (Retro Televison) on Saturday mornings. RTV is a free over the air channel that is aired by many TV stations on their secondary subchannel. All you need is an antenna to watch it. no cable or dish required. Just a local affiliate.

reply

they do show it on RTV through local stations but it's through their digital subchannel so in this case you would need digital cable to see it if your area can pick it up

It's okay...they show it every Saturday morning on the Fox-retro channel on local tv.
