Suzanne Pleshette was the hottest sitcom woman of the 1970's.
And one of the hottest women ever to be on a regular TV series.
Way hotter than Suzanne Somers, Lonnie Anderson, etc.

She was a very pretty lady.

And certainly had a voice that was sultry.
shareI loved that denim outift she wore, along with wearing her hair long
....in one show, where she was becoming concerned about getting older.
Bob may have thought she looked to old to
dress that way but I thought she looked awesome. ξ

Much more attractive than Mary Frann on 'Newhart'. Pleshette was a very lovely woman in an earthy,'real' sort of way. Frann looked like the typical 80's anorexic stick with big hair, and had none of Pleshette's personality. I could never understand how they cast such a non-entity to play opposite Bob after the vibrant Suzanne!
shareMary Fran was attractive but you'd have to
see her on her guest appearance from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".
Normal hair & clothes. Verry pretty but still,Suzanne stil wins out.

I always wanted to be her!

Oh yeah! Susanne was the 70s MILF. Her smoky voice was so sexy! I loved her in everything, especially The Birds. She also was in an episode of Gunsmoke in which she was so hot!
shareAlthough I happen to be a straight (but not narrow, LOL) woman, I can definitely see what guys see in Suzanne Pleshette. Another thing she had going for her is her wicked sense of humor--and a killer smile to highlight it.
Also, I absolutely agree about her sultry voice. In an earlier era, she could have been a superstar on radio.
Finally, I find it so totally cool and sweet that her last marriage (according to IMDB, the result of a re-kindled romance) was to Tom Poston; it lasted until his death in 2007.
Their marriage was such a romantic way of uniting The Bob Newhart Show with Newhart--in real life, reflecting the televised union of the two with the finale of Newhart's closing episode! ξ
A jester unemployed is nobodyβs fool.
I'd bet Suzanne was fun to live with. ξ
Certainly more than Emily. Emily doesn;t get Bob & the Peeper's humor
and she said flat out in one show "I hate magic!" (when Bob tries to learn it.)
She also rolls her eyes when Bob's going to tell her astory ,to make a point clearer to her. She's attractive & all but she's a bit of drag in these ways.
