Was Howard just a more subdued version of Glenn Quagmire?

(from 'Family Guy') Or do I only think this because they were both swinging bachelors who also happened to be airline pilots?

Hmmm, interesting observation. The problem with your theory is that Quagmire is a pilot, Howard is a navigator.

Personally, Jerry reminded me more of Quagmire, just because of his constant attempts to hook up with women. Howard was more of a loon.

This is terrrrrrrible...this is terrible.....

Howard reminds me more of Kramer on Seinfeld. Constantly barging in...eating their food and borrowing things.

I kind of see Quagmire as a mesh of Jerry and Howard. He's the single guy who works for an airline (Howard), but chases women and can't settle down (Jerry).

Whores will have their trinkets.

Quagmire was a less subdued version of Howard, who was around decades before Quagmire.
