Small insanities

This movie has always stuck in my mind as a great one. I was delighted to see it turn up on one of our pay channels this month. I think what inspires me about the story is how Playfair, Holmes, Scott, attacks the small insanities and cruelties of life and bureaucracy. Sometimes, someone has to take charge and cut through the red tape to do the right thing. And, hey, how about that casting? There are quite a few people in the background who made names for themselves after 1971. I'm proud to admit being a bit of a romantic fool and this is a classic for such as we.
