The most powerful and heartbreaking scene (spoiler)


When Lowell talking with the control center and the commander tell him he going to die and implies to him that he should think about ending his life to avoid suffering. Bruce Dern great in that scene.

He was wonderful in the scene talking about his companions and how he was sorry for what he did to them.

I don't remember who the nominees were, but he certainly gave an impressive performance.

Yes, the ambiguity of the main character's troubling actions made this movie difficult.
