A Clockwork Psychomania

This is a highly entertaining movie, even if it falls a bit short of
its potential. A psychadelic movie about young bikers becoming immortal?
Sounds promising enough, right? But there are reasons few people have
heard of it.
I wonder if it was done quickly to cash in on the Stanley Kubrick movie
coming out around the same time (1971). There are many simularities,
despite the fact that they are completely different stories.
It is really more of a dark comedy than a horror movie, with a healthy
dose of cheezy 70s supernatural nonsense.
It never takes itself too seriously, and that may be what saves
it from falling flat like so many other cheap 70s supernatural flicks.
Thats not to say its high art, but passable late night entertainment.

A Clockwork Orange isn't a comedy?

I made my 16 yr old son watch this, and his first remark after seeing Tom was "is that the Clockwork Orange dude?"

I think that Nicky Henson is the only other actor who could have played Alex in A Clockwork Orange.
