lol, my mom was just recently talking about this movie. She was watching it when I called her one evening and she told me how she loved it. I had never seen it and all I knew about it was that Clint Eastwood was in it and that it used the Roberta Flack song, First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. That was it. Well, I picked up the DVD and went into it totally blind, knowing nothing whatsoever about the actual plot. But I had it in my head that it was going to be Clint Eastwood in California, maybe romancing some lady and then riding off on a horse into the sunset with some huskily uttered words of love on his lips. Haha. Imagine my surprise when I got a thriller very reminiscent of, yet predating Fatal Attraction.
But that being said, I found it pretty entertaining. The music alone is classic, me being a music fan, especially of jazz. And I was right about Clint speaking in his trademark husky tone throughout the movie. My only question is why he didn't just go all Dirty Harry on that woman's stalker a** and just aim a big gun at her while asking if she felt lucky, teehee
You have 15 years on me. I finally watched this movie all these years later. I agree with what you wrote. I'm more harsh though. I thought it was pretty bad rather than just meh although Walter was good in it.
