You mentioned the six Pacino movies - all of which are good except for Scarface - but I think his best performance is Dog Day Afternoon. Godfather Part II, Scarecrow, Dick Tracy, Serpico, Sea of Love, Donnie Brasco...he gave Oscar-worthy performances in all of those films.
Except Scarface? Dude, are you higher then senor Montana? Scarface is awesome; Not the "only", but definetly memorable and true representation of those life and times. The real-dealin' "coke" culture of the early 80's. Miami Vice at full throttle. Pastels, Art Deco, guns, 100proof nose-whisky and rich cuban accents meng. Pacino made a character that can never be duplicated, only imitated. To say that it wasn't a good acting job is such a wasted statement. I thought it was *beep* for a long time also, but then I turned 3 and realized that good acting can exist within' something that seems to the uninitiated/elightened like immature trifle. PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT!
