I saw this movie back around 1981, back in the dark days, when VCR's were still pretty new, it came on a tv station late at night, i set up the VCR to tape it, but i missed the last 20 minutes or so, just wondered how it ended. Did Pacino's charachter die ?
shareok , i think this is what happened , she got done for selllign some pills so she was looking at 2 - 3 inside unless she ratted on pacino she did he gets arrested he comes out after x amount of time and she starts following him down the street

The ending isn't very good, it's very sudden. But hey, they had to end it eventually sometime.

shareI actually loved how the ending was. It was the exact opposite of a traditional Hollywood film, where everything is neatly wrapped up. The abrupt ending fit the tone of the film greatly.
