Only movie I ever saw....

that had no music in it all all. Guess the director wanted a feel of realism and what these people's lives were like. One of the best and most underrated Al Pacino movies I ever saw, for sure. I taped it off Cinemax in the early 1990's, because there was no way to get it on video then.

Fail Safe, the original, not the TV show, did not have any music.

Dog Day Afternoon doesn´t feature any music either (except during the opening montage). Nor does No Country For Old Men.

There are actually quite a few movies without a soundtrack, the idea being that all emotions should emanate from the acting and the story. On the other hand, it would have been nice to include a song - just one tune - as a point of reference to the addicts' frame of mind. In the same way that "Everybody's Talkin'" blended perfectly with the characters in Midnight Cowboy (another great film of that era).
