DVD from Learmedia ca.vs. DVD from Superhappyfun

AS LONG AS THE ONLY DVD VERSION OF THIS FILM AVAILABLE IS THE ON E OFFERED FROM THOSE TWO SITES,I'D LIKE AN OPINION MOSTLY FROM BUYERS OF THE CANADIAN SITE:IS THE DVD OFFERED AN EDITED VHS TRANSFER?WHAT IS THE PICTURE QUALITY?
AS FAR AS SUPERHAPPYFUN IS CONCERNED,THEY CLEARLY STATE IT'S A THIRD GENERATION VHS TRANSFER.

Anthony Buckley has had the negs for this at least 4-5 years. He's supposed to release it. It is one of the most anticipated movies to be re-released. I saw it on TV once. It's brilliant and the best movie about Australia. great story and a morality tale.

Good news ... the fully restored film is soon to be re-released in cinemas in Australia, after an extremely long legal tussle over the rights. An official DVD should follow soon after.

The film was thought to be lost, but a researcher found a negative in Hollywood, marked "to be destroyed" ... the long legal battle over rights followed, but now it's ready to roll in its intended form for the first time in 30 years.

But you ARE Blanche ... and I AM.

it is now on limited release in Australian cinemas and the new print looks brilliant! The feature film itself holds up remarkably well. It really is a classic of Australian cinema.
