Australian cinema re-release July 23!
Just read an article in Saturday's courier mail that Wake In Fright will be re released at the cinemas on July 23 Can't wait to see it on the big screen.
shareUI saw it last night at the Nova in Carlton. Great film that warrants being seen in a theatre, even if just to get the perspective of the scenery and isolation.

I saw it at The George in St. Kilda--magnificent restoration, looks like a brand new movie.
A pretty fearsome movie, I'm not surprised people didn't know what hit them back in 1971.
Everyone is great in the movie, especially Donald Pleasence and Chips Rafferty--try and see this in a theatre if you can.
Lucky buggers, unfortunately I'm a zillion miles from Oz. Any news on the DVD release?

I too saw this film at the Nova.
Definitely best to watch at the cinema but if a DVD is your only option then still well worth seeing.
The acting is uniformly good in my opinion but it was great to see Chips on the big screen, a first for me.
