The zombies scared the p!ss outta me when I was a kid

And they still do. Those albino zombie eyes.

Because of this, even though I loved the song, I also hated watching the Lenny Kravitz video for "Are You Gonna Go My Way" because the drummer is a dead ringer for Lisa as a zombie.

They're not zombies in the film. Theyre people affected by the plague that killed most other people, but they are light sensitive.

According to the original book though, they're supposed to be almost like vampires. They were still light sensitive mutants but they were convinced that they were vampires since they fit the folk beliefs about vampires such as fear of light and being hurt by the sun.
