White outline body painting?

I caught the last half of this movie yesterday on cable, and it reminded me of a movie I have been trying to find the name of for pretty much my entire life.

When I was a little kid, I had to have been under nine, because of the house I saw this movie in, there was a movie on regular TV that had a scene in it that scared the living helll out of me. All I remember is that there was a very pretty girl, circa the late 1960 or very early 70s, who gets out of bed and looks scared. There was really forboding music playing. She walks slowly from the bedroom the another room, where there is a mural of a completely white outline of a man, on some kind of background, either forest-like or pyschedelic, I don't remember. Anyway as the scary music reaches a crescendo, the outline of the man starts to move out of the wall, and feature slowly delvelop on his face, and he's completely demonic looking. The girl screams and runs, and then the white guy laughs, with red lips and big eyeliner eyes. I think the girl was the painter of the mural actually. It had something to do with being crazy, or someone trying to make her go crazy.

The white plaster faces & some of the artwork (white outlines) in this movie reminded me.

Of course Burnt Offerings also scared me half to death, so it might not be quite as scary as a remember it. I would love to see it again, so if anyone knows the flick--it might have been a TV show, for that matter--please reply!

Thanks!

I don't recall seeing anything like this; however, it sounds like it might be an episode of a TV series like "The Night Gallery" or "The Sixth Sense". Maybe some research into those two shows might lead you to the right production.

Could it be this film?

No, I don't think so. It was definitely an English language film, and it was on TV so I think it's probably an old Night Gallery episode. I need to Netflix it to find out.

Thanks though!

You're welcome! My pleasure! I have spent most of my life watching horror films.

Me too! I saw this when I was really little--it scared me so bad I ran up to the TV & changed the channel (my dad yelled at me). (Of course he doesn't remember it.) I posted something on the Night Gallery board & someone replied it wasn't Night Gallery. Argh, argh, argh!!

Hey, just to let you know, it was an episode of McCloud of all things, called something like "Let's scare Jenny." I posted on the questions board and someone found it for me.

"Yinky", I'm glad the mystery was solved after nine years.

Take care!

Sincerely,

Steve.

I hadn't realized it was that long since I posted that. I was looking through my older posts looking for a particular one, and I saw this thread. You wouldn't believe the relief I felt after seeing it. And yes, ot was still freaky, but not as terrifying as I remembered it. Maybe I could do a remake...:-)
