A price of it would be estimated at 3990 yen(before tax. In Japan before this April, A pricelist was displayed after tax). I don't know the specifications for it yet.
but I'm sure that has the number of 2 for region code, because the region code for Japan is two as same as UK.
I'm sorry, but in other country, you would need a region free DVD player, if you want to use it.
Privilege: The Japanese stand-in version at the time of TV televising (the 93-minute version) is made into a special image / Japanese version preliminary announcement editing / It is a gorgeous package containing a note card by first time production.
The purest love story which was repeated repeatedly on television or with a screen is DVD at last.Since the first roadshow on theater in 1971. After that, It was often appeared by a theater or TV, and this "the purest love story" took new generation captive as fresh brilliance whenever it came out. The title and the scene of Melody are quoted on various novels and movies even now which passed for 30 years. The 2004 end of the year of a true love boom,The "Melody" which is preeminently well known appears with DVD at last.
This editing uses 24p HD master.TV broadcasting version is also additional inclusion as a privilege. On the occasion of DVD-izing, this editing image uses new 24p HD master.
Very surprise, In Japan, Before Melody DVD will be on sale(17th/Nov./2004), Only 150 people of us will meet "Melody" in the theater again, only once at 15th Nov. 2004.
As well as being a love story it's a startling reminder of what school life was like in late sixties Britain and I well remember finding myself in a number of situations when 'Julius Caesar was very displeased with me' as Mr Dicks (Ken Jones) puts it when Ornshaw and Latimer forget their Latin homework
I first saw the film on it's release in 1971 under the title S.W.A.L.K but although reviews were good, it never really caught the imagination of British audiences and soon disappeared
The soundtrack album was also short lived but I did manage to get hold of a copy at the time and this, for me, kept the memory of the film alive for many years until it was eventually shown again, this time on TV in the early eighties
Melody was finally released on video here in the mid eighties but again, like the film, it didn't do well and was soon deleted
That's why I feel the Japanese deserve a special mention
Their outstanding loyalty to the film in the 33 years since release has ensured Melody lives on in dvd and soundtrack for fans across the world and for that I thank you all
