i was eight when i seen "melody" at the cinema....i fell in love with Tracy Hyde straight away...it is a shame that you can't get a official british dvd of the movie..i have the one from japan....to me Jack Wild was superb in this....Tracy Hyde was my first crush...i know i am not alone there.

I was wondering with the actress age and possibly grow spurs that She might actually grown to look different from scene to scene.
Mark Lester did say something to that effect for Oliver! But that was a much longer production period, I believe..
I thought Tracy Hyde was really pretty the first time I saw
the movie which was on a plane ride between Honolulu and LA
I didn't get to see it again until the late 70s when it was
showed on tv. I did get to rent the video once in 1993 and
that was the last time I have seen it. Tracy Hyde did catch
my eye that first time I saw the movie another thing was that
she is 4 days older than me we were both born in May 1959. I
thought that was kinda cool learning that.
add me to the list .. i saw this movie when it first came out, fell in love with her at first sight, i was 12 i think. .. went to see this film 3 times in one week. so many scenes took my breath away, .. the holding hands while walking through the graveyard, with the #first of may# song. .. the ballet scene, .. the school sports day/#to love somebody .. Ahhh memories!!!!

Dont ask me how but now there is a DVD out there... I bought it in a small store...
