I have a strong suspicious that the currently available DVD from Japan has the Melody Kissing Daniel Scene Taken Out. What do you think?
The most likely place that was after the cemetery scene they were about to cross the street and stop by the policeman. I think between them about to cross and that the camera pulled away to show the policeman helped them . The kiss in the cheek could have been removed for some reason.
Have I missed something? I've seen this film when I was a child and as an adult and I cannot recall any scenes with kissing, cheek or otherwise. Are you sure it wasn't a whisper? Either that or it could be a rumour originating from the post release title, S.W.A.L.K. (Sealed With A Loving Kiss).
I'll have to check but unfortunately I have the Japanese DVD.

I don't know whether the photo was taken from the original celluloid or just photoshopping in the 70s.
See what I mean...there is no such scene in the movie. So I guess it was still photos taken for promotional purpose
shareNo,I don't think so.I've watched a hundred time this movie,but I've never discovered that scene even though I'm not in this era.I know what you mean,I've seen the picture Melody kissing Daniel's cheek and I 've tried to search the scene comes out or not as well.You know,this movie made a hit with Japanese people and those actores came to Japan several times,especially Tracy.I think it's a only for promotinal photo.I ran into last night on cable and I've watched whole movie but I haven't seen the scene.It would have been a more cute movie if this scene was included.
