What's up with their clothes?

They look like pimps with those hats and capes.

That was the way people in NYC dressed in the early 70s.

Check out "Superfly" or "Shaft".

Exactly. And it was all bad. God, the fashions in the 70's were tragic!

Totally agree about the clothes. And, check out how shabby and worn out NYC looked, too. A lot of rebuilding has taken place since 1971.

OK. So you totally missed the point of one of the funniest movies ever made, you're not old enough to remember the 70's and you're not aware of the youth of every generation's attraction to (short-lived and dated) Fashion Trends or some of their elder's kinda sad attempts to emmulate them (case in point). Giggy and Panda were a little neurotic, remember... Don't despair!! Do you have a great-grandma or grandpa who'll talk to you? How about a LIBRARY in you village? (check out the magazine [periodical] archives there) OR (!) there's always the internet!!

And brace yourself for the things you think are phat/the bomb now looking totally lame/sucky to your progeny!

(And BTW, isn't it past your bed time??? :+)

I was a teen in the 70's and there was one good thing: Tube Tops!
