Why does it say Bree Daniels

Her last name is Daniel not Daniels.

but in the movie she says Daniel. I only heard Bree Daniel and the final end credits list her character name as Bree Daniel.

She pronounces her name as "Daniels" to Goldfarb's secretary, but you are correct that she is credited as "Daniel" in the credits. She may use "Daniel" at some point in the film - it may be a continuity error - but she definitely uses "Daniels" on at least one occasion.

i thought she said it all the time in the film, i.e. on the phone

but in the credits its just daniel, same for on wikipedia or written articles about the character...daniels sounds a lot better i think....

I have just seen the American region 1 version of this movie on DVD. Throughout the film she refers to herself as "Daniels". There is a scene in the beginning of the film where the police discuss her in the presence of the missing man's wife. There they would have to use her real name (those on her personal record).

I'll have to check, but I think there was actual confusion as to what to call her, unless the credit-writer got her name wrong.

Nobody's perfect!

She's a hooker. Bree Daniel(s) is probably a pseudonym, a character she becomes when she's working, and she doesn't much care whether it has an "s" or not.
