We didn't see the cat after the apartment was smashed up, and she didn't take a cat with her at the end. I'm worried about the cat!
shareIt was taken in by Bree's kindly elderly cat lady neighbor, and lived to the ripe old age os 19. It's cremated remains are interred at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
Actually, in the last scene when they are gathering up the luggage, there is a cat carrier along with the suitcases. As I recall, Bree picks up the cat carrier and Klute takes the suitcases.
PS Just found a Youtube video to rewatch the ending: yes, Bree picks up the cat carrier and actually at one point it is turned so that you can see the cat inside. Klute carries everything else: 3 or 4 suitcases and her portfolio.

shareI didn't notice the cat carrier among the luggage -- but I'm glad it was there. I thought for certain that the cat would be found dead after her apartment was ransacked. I thought the cat was under those soiled panties that she picked up, but later on it was explained as something quite different.
