Just saw this film last night. Hilarious, and reminded me greatly of "Network" . . . for obvious reasons. George C. Scott was amazing, and so was Diana Rigg (though I couldn't figure out if she was trying to affect an American accent; given her character's background, that should've been the case, and most of the time she pulled it off, yet in some scenes, it seemed like her British accent kept coming through).
Re: Christopher Guest, the scene I immediately thought of that he might be in was the locker-room scene with Dr. Welbeck and two residents, where Welbeck was extolling the virtues (or lack thereof) of incorporating. One of the two residents was a red-headed fellow who could've been Guest, but I don't know. He's in that scene so briefly, and I don't think he utters a single line. My memory of him is tying his shoe and grinning from ear to ear, contemplating his future riches. While we were watching, I thought he looked vaguely familiar, but just couldn't pin down why. Now I think that may have been him.
