JUST saw that this is to be on tomorrow - joy in the morning!!! I've been hoping for years for either a TCM broadcast or a DVD release - I've read the novel, and the film's reputation is so good that I hope it lives up to it!

What a treat! I've only seen this wonderful movie twice.
Why doesn't TCM show it more often?
A little disappointed - IMDB indicates this has Original Aspect Ratio of 1:85, but TCM is showing it full-screen - ah well, it may have been all that Sony could supply at this time.
