Once Upon a Time...the Revolution
Why are periods put there? Why not just call it 'Once Upon a Time in the Revolution'? It's not a big issue for me or anything, I'm just curious.

shareNever understood this either.
Oh well.
I kind of like the lingering suspense. Plus it, rather appealingly, makes it more abstract.
Once Upon a Time in the Revolution suggests a specific set time period and chronology of events. Once Upon a Time... the Revolution is a bit more vague and timeless, suggesting 'revolution' as a state of mind and idea rather than an isolated episode. I'd say that's more appropriate for the underlying themes and narrative of the movie (and probably a lot more philosophical than Duck You Sucker!, which is also a sweet title).

I saw a documentary about this with sir Christopher Frayling I believe his name to be, were he says they could not used the Revolution title in fear of that it would be mistaken for another similar title film that had just come out.
Saving Private Parts: Your Guide to Safe Sex
The film with the similar title was called Before the Revolution.
shareSpeaking of political and social/cultural concerns in westerns. I thought I read
once about an Italian western, in which the gunslinger actually reads through a
Koran from time to time. I thought the film was called Koran and the "hero" also was called Koran. I don't know where I read about it originally, and can't
find a reference to it. Can anybody help ?
