Wonderful musical score

Ennio Morricone wrote the score, and it includes a whole host of beautiful, rich melodies. But there are two songs in particular which have stayed with me forever. They are so evocative and melancholy and inspiring. Not being a music critic, it's hard for me to describe them in words.

They are Morricone's best music, and if you know what that means, you'll know what I mean. If anybody compiled a list of his very best songs, these would certainly be on it. One is about the three Johns: John, Juan and Sean. The other is the love song from the flashbacks in Ireland.

It's worth watching this movie just to hear Morricone's magnificent music.

I agree, listen to it a lot and i think it's one of Morricones best works. There is a certin emotional power and mood that just explodes in the music, especially the song "Messico e Iralanda" has an incredible melancholy, it's both sad and uplifting a the same time. Listening toit makes you feel a timeless quality, it sounds a bit ancient, like it belongs to a lost time, but very human. Anyway, there are few movie songs that can make you feel such a vast amount of emotions and give you such unique associations in one single melody. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww2465mRaJ4

Morricone is def my favorite film composer, I love "man with a harmonica" from "once upon a time in the west" and "ectasy of gold" from "the good the bad and the ugly" the most. But Fistful of dynamite (or duck you sucker) is just amazing, definitly his most underrated work

I agree with everybody here. The music score is absolutely stunning. My favorite movie soundtrack and my favorite Morricone score. The "Messico E Irlanda" track is indeed very beautiful.
