Who's the president?

When the movie starts, the rich people comment that now that General Huerta deposed Madero the poor will be put into their place again (or words to that effect). This puts the time of the film after "La Decena Tragica", the ten days in 1913 when President Madero was betrayed by his general.

It makes good sense to place the film at that time, when a repressive military regime conducted atrocities as those depicted in the film.

However, when we see the posters, the president depicted shows no resemblence to the historical Huerta. This could be a case of artistic licence I guess, but the president depicted shows an uncanny resemblance to President Madero as played by Harold Gordon in "Viva Zapata!" (not so much with historical Madero).

It would not make as much sense to place the film during his reign, or it would be an interesting statement to do so.

Any thoughts?
