This film moves me to tears.

People on this board can talk about the flaws of this film (I don't find one), but till this day this is one of Leone's most underrated films. I start crying at the end of this film every time. Unlike the Dollars films's there is a bond between John and Juan and they influence each other. When Juan looks at the camera and you hear 'What about me", I feel so sorry for Juan. And also John. I hope I am not the only one who gets moved by this film.

I find it very moving, in fact I would argue that this is the most poignant and meaningful of all Leone's films and, of course, the most underrated and ignored. It is a beautiful film.

i hate to say it as I enjoyed this movie, but I don't find this movie overall up there with fistful of dollars or the good the bad and the ugly or once upon a time in the west, but the scene where juan realises the children he kind of took for granted as members of his gang are now dead, and goes to die to avenge them, there are moments like that which are almost on par with life is beautiful (the only movie to have made me weep). it is definitely a deep and thoughtful movie, nothing about it is phoned in, I cant say it is the best of leone, the good the bad and the ugly is my 2nd favourite movie after the godfather, but it certainly moved me at times. I do think though that john takes a similar role to blondie, as juan takes a similar role to tuco. in both good bad ugly and fistful of dynamite we have the gringo who is not totally moral but more moral than his partner and ultimately decides to do something that puts himself at risk to help the war, while the partner is totally self serving but then shown to have a more sensitive side, tuco with his brother and hearing of his fathers death, juan with his children, the relationship between the 2 to me is very similar, the only real difference I can see is johns death, which I guess makes it more poignant to some.

John was not a Gringo. He in fact had never set foot into the United States at that point. Europeans would not have been considered gringos. He would just be an "irlandés."

Outsiders then.

Revisited movie after long break yesterday.

I think first time I saw short cut, because I can't remember many things.

Great movie overall. During watching my ex called. Her farther was ill for a while.

Tonight she told me doctors discovered her farther has a lung cancer with brain metastasis.

I think I can't never see this movie again, neither listen beautiful Morricone soundtrack because the weight of this news is unbearable. Add to this sad ending.

Like Leone said this movie is not about revolution, it's about friendship. Deep connection between people. Life is a strange thing.

It's better than Once Upon A Time In the West.
