the bizarre clown craze originated HERE
I noticed this IMMEDIATELY...... at the time of writing, a cult craze of pranksters has swept the USA and the UK [at least on slow news days] , in which youths and the not-so-young [a guy caught doing this by the cops was in his early 30s] dress up as bizarre clowns, and strike terror into kids and older folks.
Surely the similarities with this anti-social behaviour in real-life and in the deeds and dress code of the droogs in the film are self-evident? It certainly seemed so to me.
It may only be a matter of time before the notorious HOME sequence is enacted in all it's Horrorshow Horror---for REAL, on some poor unsuspecting victims.
If so, the poor residents have my sympathy......
The real-life Night of the Droogs on your Doorstep is inching---ever closer.
The step---in which impressionable movie-viewers watch lurid films and are inspired to dress like disturbing ficticious characters-------and then go out to commit outrageous acts against innocent bystanders in the REAL WORLD-------may have taken root in Western Civilization.
If so, this film was MOST prophetic---and may even have been a self-fulfilling prophecy.
