SERIOUS Plot Hole....

Sooo... how exactly could Alex have not been brought up on rape charges of Mrs. Alexander? The cat lady even mentions how the ringing of her doorbell was like the incident the other night. Surely the police would have put this together... surely the Alexanders would have described their attackers to the police. Surely it would have been dead on description of Alex. At the very least Mr. Alexander would have heard about the second attack and suspected him of being his wife's attacker all this time. If he were planning his own revenge to take place after his 14 year sentence maybe but that's a stretch, but that's out since we see he doesn't realize who Alex really is until he hears him singing. There's just no way in the world Alex would have gotten away with this rape. No way. This is, any way you look at it, a plot hole.

It's explained in the narration- they wore masks and therefore were impossible to positively ID. The only reason the charges stuck in the cat lady's case was because the police caught him at the scene.

Alexander would likely have a lengthy convalescence from his own injuries and anguish over his wife's condition to be following the crime news .

Also the government film that they make Alex watch has other droogs dressed in a similar fashion, so it's implied gangs of this era dress like that.
Billy boy's gang dresses differently buy we see others at the Moloko dressed in kind.
