Where's Barbara?
I was checking the cast list and didn't see the character of Barbara mentioned. Anyone know what her name is? Is there a story that I don't know about as to why she's not on the IMDB cast list? Just an oversight?
shareHer name is Julie Webb. I have no idea why she isn't in the IMDB cast list since she had a major part in the movie, and is listed fifth in the closing credits. When you do a name search there isn't anything about her either. I'd be interested to know what happened to her, and why IMBD doesn't seem to have any information on her.
shareJulie Webb was actually Tom and Delores (Taylor) Laughlin's babysitter. "Billy Jack" was her first film and "Billy Jack Goes To Washington" her second and last. Many of the kids and others in the Billy Jack movie were not actors but locals or friends of Tom and Delores (or their kids...Theresa "TC" Kelly Laughlin is their daughter and their son Frank (14 years old at the time of the filming "Billy Jack") was Tom's stunt double for the motorcycle scenes...Tom was only in the close-ups. There was a very limited budget at least for "Billy Jack".

shareThe Laughlin babysitters got parts in Billy Jack, LOL...another of their babysitters was the lady with dark hair who was a town board member and she and some of the other board members (some of them actual Town Board Members of the town they shot some of the film in) went to visit the Freedom School. She is the one in the skit with Howard Hessman and she and male board member had to switch rolls and be the teenage kids and Howard and a female student took the roles as the parents and the "kids" are "driving" in a "car" and come "home" drunk and high. Tom and Delores said it was great to watch her (it was all ad lib) because she was normally quiet and the Laughlin kids used to lock her in the closet when she babysat! LOL
