$$$Still... Don't Forget...

Whatever your feelings about this very interesting film, you should note: "The Born Losers" cost $360,000 to produce and generated over $36,000,000 in revenue. "Billy Jack" cost $800,000 to make and grossed over $65,000,000! (1970's dollars.)

If it's a bad film, I'd like to make just ONE bad film like it! Nothing generates returns like this unless it is POPULAR - and this film was popular because it touched on some key themes of society at the time. Review your US history before you bash it - this film is like a crossroads of the 1970's.

I saw it in a drive-in theater when I was six (look it up, if you don't know what a drive-in was). I never forgot Billy Jack, cheezy as he was, and we when we used to play "good guys and bad guys", we all fought over who would get to be him!

I stand by the fact that he was still pretty cool..
I wish everyone didn't have to judge everything by one standard and were able to understand all the variables..
Ironically, it has become a pretty judgmental world.
