several movies Wayne made are like this- The Alamo,Hatari,El DorAdo,True Grit..Ect. It seems this is a common trait of his films.

If this bothers you, then you'll definitely want to skip all of Quentin Tarantino's work, a good portion of Kurosawa and Lynch...

That's not good because for one thing, it makes it
an uneven film. Either settle on one main theme or another.
