Residuals. When an actor acts and a singer sings he/she gets a residual check in the mail each time the movie is shown and the song is played. Ray Stevens played each instrument on one of his hit songs and received all the residuals for that song.
shareI actually really like it. It's creepy and fits the movie. I think, too, that having Eastwood sing it made it that much more 'real' sounding than if done by a professional. It sounds exactly like a soldier singing to himself.
