Whos does he imitates when shortly after reurning to New York he's in court. When he gets up and address the jury and the judge, he seems to imitate someone, complete with jerky movements of the head. Who?

Don't know about that, but when he's bound and gagged in the courtroom I'd say he's imitating Bobby Seale.

He always has said that he is greatly influenced by the Marx Bros. Maybe that has something to do with it

It may be a reference to the movie "Inherit the Wind", particularly the reference to "teaching evolution". Also, the bit about the lawyer cross-examining himself was in "The Lady from Shanghai" but I don't know if Woody necessarily had that movie in mind. Any ideas?
