Remake 2010 ?
I guess the surveillance system won't be using Analogue Tapes in the new version

shareIf they used all the 70s tech in a modern film...that would be awesome.
shareRemake will have hard time topping origional. I would rather see a movie based on premise of Anderson tapes. It's also a very 1970's movie, which i liked. Remake willl probably be a waste.

The great, late John Huston once said "I don't understand why anyone wants to remake a classic film. You'll likely look bad, by comparison. Better to remake bad films, and do them right this time".
That's how I feel about remakes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Case in point. Another great 70s caper--'The Taking of Pelham One Two Three'.
While the remake, is not a bad film, it pales by comparison, to the original. Had I never seen the original, I'd have enjoyed the remake more.

A remake would have to include two things;
cell phones (unfortunetly) and
Christopher Walken (!that would be awesome!)
Christopher Walken (!that would be awesome!)

Of course he would have to be cast in the role of Duke. How about Dyan Cannon, either in her original role (she's only 6 yrs older than Walken, and still sexy at 71) or as one of the mature lady tenants. The crowning touch would be getting Sean Connery to come out of retirement as Duke's prison crony, the old con, Pop.
