Coal for the doorman

John Call was the foul mouthed O'leary the doorman in this. I just discovered that he portrayed Santa in Santa in the epic "Santa Conquers the Martians" so I guess if he were still alive that he'd have to give himself coal for Christmas.

Yes, I said *CHRISTMAS* Please stow that insultingly generic "Happy Holidays" PC garbage. Try stowing it in an overhead compartment but be careful when opening as the contents may have shifted.

He had a great part.

You got to see his 'part'? Did he part it on the left or right? If he was Moses he would've parated it down he center!

PS Coal for the doorman is de'lovely but dunt furgit to serve some Tea For The Tillerman.

His casual racism towards Spencer was actually used to the gangs advantage, knowing that he would escort him upstairs and leave the desk unattended.

But his best part was when he described Martin Balsam's character over the phone. He definitely struck me as perfectly playing the part of a snooty NYC doorman from that era.
