The Poster Doesn’t’ Make Sense

In the respect that you see an unmasked Phibes kissing Vulnavia. First off Phibes was loyal to the utmost to Victoria & he wouldn’t have done that. Even in their role playing they never did anything indecent to each other. It was more of Phibes being romantically “gentlemanly” towards her. Which is what I think anyway. Yes I realize it’s only the movies poster and creative liberties and all of that but again it didn’t make much sense. Did that ever occur in the film? Now I can’t remember.

In regards to Vulnavia, what’s truly intriguing is even though WE never hear her speak, it’s obvious that she does, to some people anyway. As it’s confirmed in the first Phibes movie that she does, however briefly by at least one or two characters in it. Guess it was necessary but I cant help but wonder how the exchanges went.

Some of you here have speculated that she’s the daughter of Phibes & Victoria. She’s a grown woman & Victoria is still very young to have had a grown daughter, plus the poster that I’m talking about would’ve been all that more creepy IF she was his daughter. She’s too advanced (I think) to have been one of Phibes clockwork mannequins.

No, I don’t believe she’s Athena, that’s just plain stupid. The protectress of hero’s? Playing nursemaid & lackey to Phibes? Nah man, that I’m not going for. Well I don’t discount that she can’t be a supernatural entity sent by somebody/something to assist Anton in his work. He would've known how to conjure up such things I suppose with all his knowledge.

I’ve never considered her “evil”. She shows no real malice, even with her assisting Phibes in his many murders, you never feel any emotion from her. Which is why I again do believe she’s a supernatural entity of some kind that wouldn’t react the way a human would. She was probably sent by some god or gods to serve Phibes. That’s my take on it anyway. But I respect you all may have differing g opinions on the matter.
