head into a skull. She evidently had taken the sleeping pill,
and evidently she suffocated in her sleep with that green goo
covering her nose and mouth. THEN the locusts were eating her.

She had taken a sleeping pill as suggested which was why she didn't wake up. It's hard to know whether the stuff poured over her suffocated her.
