I once knew a friend of VP in the 70's

In the mid seventies I was on holiday (spain I think) and got talking to a lady who addressed herself as Mrs Money. We got talking about films for some reason. I was only 10 at the time. I have no idea how we got talking because it was so long ago, but I have never forgotten it. I told her I was a big vincent price fan. I used to stay up late watching all the classic horrors on tv when I was young y'see. Mrs Money amazingly told me she knew vincent price and when the Dr. Phibes film was being shot, someone (the director I think) complained about her presence on the set and was told to leave. Vincent price then announced that if she was to be sent off set, he would leave as well in protest. She was allowed to stay after this. I have never forgotten this. She sent me a black and white photo on VP in his Phibes makeup and was autographed. I lost the photo after my mother died however in the 80's when we sold the bungalow and moved away. I was astounded she sent a stranger something that was so precious and rare. That in itself has been such a loss to me, losing that photo.

This I swear to be the truth. To this day (I am 49 now) I cannot believe i met someone who knew VP. I wrote to the daughter of VP recently and told the same story. I never got a reply though. If only Robert Fuest was still alive today, as telling him this tale may of been the only person alive that could of verified it. My only regret is losing the photo and not contacting someone sooner about it! :/

That's very great. I would hate losing something like that. I might even cry once I realized it was gone. But it's a wonderful memory and good to know you had the photo at one time.
