I paid attention to the lousy VHS copy of this film as best I could, and I understand that Mimsy was the killer, but I couldn't comprehend much about her explanation with the grainy picture and scratchy soundtrack. Can someone please post a spoiler explaining her motivation and methodology?

Thanks so much for the explanation, gleek! I could tell that she was giving an elaborate explanation about her troubled past, but I was just exhausted at that point from trying to comprehend an extremely grainy print with a severely muddled soundtrack.
I'm sure I would like this film a lot more if I could just see a decent version of it, and I suspect there would be enough demand to make it worthwhile.
